Salted Non Pareille Capers have a fresher and more flowery taste and aroma. Being packed in salt, the Capers seem to keep their shape and firmness better too. The unopened flower bud of the Capparis Spinosa shrub, these non-pareilles capers are wild, hand-picked in Safi on the West Coast of Morocco and in Turkey, and revered for their two-tone colour. Not only are they hand picked, they’re the 2nd finest grade you can get, measuring no more than 7mm in diameter. They produce beautiful little flecks of pink, lighter and darker green and purple just adds to the allure. The smallest of capers, which measures under 7mm, is considered “non-pareil” (pronounced \,nän-pə-ˈrel\). Translated from French, “has no equal.” So they are the smallest, tastiest capers you are able to get.
