Salted Ricotta is an Italian cheese made from sheep milk whey, which is pressed and salted. It is then formed into a wheel and aged for several months. It has a creamy, mild nutty flavour, while also being slightly saltier than regular Ricotta. This cheese is firm enough to grate, crumble and slice, making it the perfect addition to your cooking.

Usages:

  • Try with watermelon and cucumber for a light refreshing starter 
  • Crumble into all kinds of salads, especially ones with grains, pulses and pasta.
  • Grate it over toast with a drizzle of honey and a good crack of black pepper
  • Use as a milder and more versatile alternative to feta cheese – you still get a salty tang but without the pungency.
