At the Belazu Ingredient Company, we believe that the heart of our business is the people who make it happen, from Production to Sales. We value every employee’s well-being and aim to support them socially, physically, and psychologically by supporting their mental health, and creating a safe workplace. When we first applied in 2014, we were fortunate enough to exceed Bronze Level, and enter at Silver Level, something that only 5% of companies have done. In 2018, we surpassed this by achieving Gold Level.
British Standards Institution ISO 45001
This accreditation is a framework for our occupational health and safety management system. These policies, procedures and controls ensure that we achieve the best possible working conditions and workplace health and safety, for the best practice, which is recognised internationally. We achieved this in January 2019, and we were one of the first food manufacturers to achieve a new Health and Safety ISO standard within a year of it being published.
BRC Global Standards Grade A
As a food company with production and operations onsite, it is important that we maintain strict and safe working guidelines. The British Retail Consortium Global Standards awards companies based on their standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria. In 2006, we were awarded BRC A+, which was increased to BRC AA+ in 2018, meaning we are a strong enough company to withstand an inspector visiting our site without notice. In 2020, We continue to maintain a strong rating being awarded BRC Grade A.
