Made in small batches from 100% pomegranate juice crushed from semi-sour and sour varietals. Harvested by hand and boiled down with zero additives, our pomegranate molasses give a complex blend of sweetness and acidity. You can easily use it to replace vinegar, honey or even sometimes, lemon juice to add a fresh dimension to dressings and marinades. One of the oldest fruits known to man, the 'seeded apple' (which is how the pomegranate is translated in Latin) is beloved in cultures all over the Meditteranean and the Middle East. Fossils tell us it originally popped up in Iran, and it went on to charm the world, becoming the subject of a vast array of frescos, murals and folk tales for more than 4000 years. We are not saying it will bring you prosperity, hope, and abundance - but 4000 years of history cannot be wrong, can it?
Did you know? During its Moorish period, the ancient Spanish city of Grenada was renamed 'Pomegranate' - it still uses a shiny red pomegranate on its civic coat of arms to this day.
