Cardinale Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Single varietal, filtered Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Puglia, Southern Italy. Made from Coratina olives by our Puglian olive oil man, Giuseppe, on his family-run mill. Assertive and punchy, with a fiery peppery finish, like all the best Puglian oils, it leaves a little of that characteristic scratch on the back of the throat with a very slightly sweet flavour all at once. Complex, powerful, delicious.
Although Tuscany is more famous, Puglia is more prolific. 40% of Italy's olive oil output grows in the fertile, calcium-rich Puglian soil.
