Balsamic Borettane Onions
Borettane onions preserved in Balsamic vinegar for a beautiful blend of sweetness and acidity. The Borettane is a mild, sweet Italian pearl onion that is flat, almost saucer-like in shape. They are harvested, then washed, peeled and quickly blanched, before being stored in Balsamic vinegar IGP to imbue its sweetly acidic flavour into the onion until it takes on a softer texture. Serve sliced in salads or as a show-stopping antipasto.
Please note the 400g vacuum packs come as a 'dry mix' (i.e. without brine) and need to be consumed within two weeks of ordering.
