Chef Bruno Loubet from The Grain Store combines a selection of our grains and seeds into a naturally sweet and deliciously chocolatey Health Bar. Millet, buckwheat kasha, Siyez are first cooked then chilled with honey, coconut butter and cocoa powder to make a beautiful healthy dessert.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

100g Millet

100g Buckwheat Kasha

100g Kaniwa

100g Siyez

100g coconut butter

80g cocoa powder

80g honey

2tbsp Pomegranate Molasses

100g walnuts

100g pitted dates

Cook all the seeds and grains in water separately. Drain well.

When still hot, add in a bowl the cocoa, honey, coconut butter and the walnuts and the dates, finely chopped. The pomegranate molasses is optional.

Line a tray, with cling film then spread the mix the mix and place in the fridge to set for at least four hours then cut in bars and keep in the fridge.

You can choose to use smaller moulds in order to make a smart, healthy desert.
