Kalamata Olives

Kalamata olives are a PDO product that must be grown on the Peloponnese Peninsula in Greece, named after the town of Kalamata. They have been a popular olive for decades Our Kalamata olives benefit from not having been heat treated, which leaves them with a firmer texture. Fruitier and more acidic flavour than would normally be expected with olives, they also have the characteristic gentle bitterness in the skin. They remain as popular now as they have ever been.
