Belazu's Premier Choix Spreadable Olive Oil is the UK's first solid oil and comes in two different varieties – Original and Basil flavoured. Both recipes contain at least 87% Premier Choix Extra Virgin Olive oil and provide all the culinary versatility of butter, but with all the health benefits of olive oil.

Belazu Premier Choix Spreadable Olive Oil is a special blend of first cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oils and has a flavour of the traditional co-operative oils of Provence. It is a well-balanced oil and has a sweet fruitiness, making it suitable for any culinary task.

Extra Virgin Olive oil is a completely natural, untreated food, and as well as being a mono-unsaturated fat, it is also rich in antioxidants and vitamins, which help prevent body cell ageing.

Because this product requires refrigeration, we are not selling it through our website for the time being. However, it is available exclusively in Sainsbury's stores in the chiller cabinets (next to speciality butters) and through www.sainsburystoyou.com.

BASIL FLAVOURED

Spread over slices of baguette or ciabatta before toasting and then top generously with chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil for the perfect bruschetta
Melt over hot cooked pasta and toss with sliced olives, crushed garlic, thyme and the juice and zest from 1 lemon for a tasty quick supper. Soften over a gentle heat and stir in pine nuts and garlic to fry until golden. Mix in to cooked, wilted spinach for a stylish side dish.

ORIGINAL FLAVOUR

Add to a heated frying pan to fry a steak for 1.5 – 2mins on each side. Remove steak before stirring in red wine vinegar, crème fraiche, wholegrain mustard and tarragon for a cheat's béarnaise sauce
Make a smart lunchtime sandwich with cured ham or crostini for parties with smoked salmon, crème fraîche and lemon
